Tangent Residency #2: November 12

Raising things to the next level is what we are, have been, and will continue to do.  To that end, this second installment at the Tangent wasn't just the band.  Oh no, we brought the Grateful Hoop Mama, Erika Gallagher to dance with us.  We brought Mike Stork from TheFunkShop.com to run a projected psychedelic video show, on a giant screen brought by Warren Nelson.  Lights were run by superfan Mike Chojnowski.  Live painting was done by Jody Bauman.  And we debuted a series of 25 prints of Martina Sanroman's fantastic artwork, signed and numbered by the artist (prints remain, just let us know - they're $30 each).

As if that wasn't extra enough, we beat the record set at our October 24 show by playing a 152 minute first set (that's 2 hours, 32 minutes)!  Then we followed it up with a 100+ minute second set, playing in to the wee hours of the night.  As Dead Again guitarist Phillip Nathan commented on Facebook, "It’s not a REAL party until the band plays for 6+ hours straight IMO." We're working on it, Phillip.  We're working on it! 

The show features debuts of Around and Around, Black Peter, Hey Pocky Way, and Spoonful, as well as long exploratory jams throughout (THE WHEEL!  PLAYIN! UNBROKEN! CASSIDY!  THE OTHER ONE!).  Watch the whole thing, or drop the needle anywhere for a delicious dose of psychedelic stew.
