What a perfect night for a birthday celebration!  Mark and Elizabeth Dizik both celebrate decade birthdays on July 15, and they chose to have Raising The Dead come party with them!  Their back porch made a perfect stage and a great time was had by all.  They found us at the Sardine Room playing as an acoustic quartet, so that's the show they wanted.  Thanks for a magical night, we wish you many more decades to rock that "Touch of Grey." Next weekend, we play another private birthday party in Franklin.

Southwest Michigan (and Chicago, South Bend, Indianapolis...) Deadheads, rejoice!  We will return to the Park Theater in Holland on Saturday, October 12 for an evening of the best American music.  You can get advance tickets for $15 here or $20 tickets the day of at the box office. 

Here's a look back at our last gig at the park on 9-12-2022: 
This gig was a nod to 1971 Dead, a year when they consistently played without a keyboard player, as documented on the Skull & Roses album.  We exclusively played repertoire from that year.  Highlights included Loser, our debuts of Me & Bobby McGee, and Turn On Your Lovelight.  Lovelight was joined by English Joe's Stephen Boersma on Saxophone, and it was an amazing way to cap the evening.  The band and audience were all smiles all night, and that comes through the performance captured.

Thanks to Nicholas Zabrodsky for coordinating another fun benefit show in Lansing. Last year, we played for The Ukraine Children's Fund that Nicholas put on with special guest Larry McCray. This time, it was a Rock the Vote benefit with Big L & Code Blu and Terry Barber (aka Papa Strings). As it turns out, we were fortunate to play the last show at Green Dot Stables Lansing.  (Not-so) fun fact: we've played the last show at 3 different bars: The Rockery in Wyandotte, Otus Supply in Ferndale, and now Green Dot Stables, and it is always sad to see them go.
