Bird Song Recorded Live in Studio

Sometimes, everything just seems to groove right - this is one of those times. We multi-tracked this take of the Dead's ode to the then recently-departed Janis Joplin in rehearsal, and wanted to make sure we weren't the only ones to hear it. Listen for some nice vocals from Dave and Bill, appropriately tasty drumming from Mike, and a cool full-group improv led by Jake and Max. We are looking forward to sharing moments like this with you live!

Gig Announcements: Wyandotte Street Art Fair and Cadieux Cafe

Raising The Dead will be playing at the Wyandotte Street Art Fair on the main riverfront stage! We will perform at the opening of the event, from 1-3:30pm on Wednesday, July 11. We are thrilled to be a part of this awesome event. Also, mark your calendar on Saturday, September 22 for our performance at Detroit's Cadieux Cafe. We will do 2 sets starting at 10pm, with a $5 cover charge. As always, check our facebook page for the latest event information.

Here's the definitive Dead duplet Scarlet Begonias>Fire On The Mountain, performed live at our Rockery show May 11, 2018. The soundboard recording was lost when the power went out, but this audience recording survived. There's some solid band interplay, great soloing by Jake, and that added "something" that a crowd dancing and cheering along brings. Enjoy!
