RTD played the Maidstone Theater in Ypsilanti last Saturday - and it was great once the people started dancing. A strange afternoon, we had no sound guy and no monitors - and only 2 mics thru a smaller PA. Worse, one mic barely worked! One feature of the gig was Dave and Bill swapping mics depending on who was singing lead or harmony. Despite these issues, the crowd was appreciative and really danced, and once we adjusted to our sound issues we let go and had a ton of fun on stage. We'd been increasing our repertoire, and got a chance to take many songs for their first on-stage run. After the show, we got a chance to meet lots of fans, and post-show reviews were all positive. We hope to make it back out under better circumstances, soon!
